Increasing diversity through the Scholarship Programme

Supporting students of promise and potential

It is by bringing together students from around the globe and educating them to embrace challenge and take responsibility for shaping a better world that we will fulfil our mission to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.

Gifts to this programme allow us to make this transformative educational experience available to students of great promise and potential, who would not otherwise have such an opportunity. These scholarships not only benefit the individual, but through their presence and engagement, our scholars enrich the learning experience throughout the UWCSEA community. 

A gift to the Scholarship Programme can change a life:

A gift of any amount to the Annual Fund will enable us to provide more scholarship opportunities and continue to increase the diversity of the College. However, for those who wish to make a specific gift to the Scholarship Programme, there are a number of giving opportunities available:

Head of College Scholarship

Support a full two-year IB Diploma scholarship for a student of great promise and potential from a country that is recovering from a disaster, period of civil unrest, political conflict or economic instability.

Tension IB Scholarship

Support two full two-year IB Diploma scholarships for two students of great promise and potential from countries that have been, or are actively engaged in conflict with one another. The students complete their studies alongside each other 

Full IB Scholarship

Support a full two-year IB Diploma scholarship for a student of great promise and potential.

Endowed IB Scholarship

Support an endowed two-year IB Diploma scholarship and your scholarship will continue in perpetuity. 

Three year Scholarship

Support a full three-year scholarship for a student of great promise and potential who would benefit from a foundation year before entering the rigour of the IB Diploma programme.

Five year Scholarship

Support a young scholar of great promise and potential from a developing country which has significant economic, political or conflict issues to join UWCSEA in Grade 8 and complete the IB Diploma in Grade 12.



In 2015/2016, 102 scholars from 50 different countries are benefiting from a UWC experience thanks to support from the community.
